straight outta compton vogue living
this last week has been pretty hectic. i seemed to spend all week saying goodbye to people - at work, at openings, at gigs and a semi-official farewell shindig
then yesterday i jumped in my car, with my boot full of bits and pieces and my back seat taken up with an old-school hoover vacuum and my twin towers of 'monopolye' artwork and headed out for the last time.
I spent 12 hours on the road, driving from sydney to tyabb: including a nice/sensible kip in holbrook (the inland town with its own submarine) and an hour of bumper-to-bumper traffic about 40kms out from town, thanks to the end of easter. i've never seen so many cars with roofracks, towing boats, trailers, bikes, etc all in one go before!
so, now i'm at my parents' house, just coming down and about to start trying to find some shit-kicking jobs.
and until then, here's how i spent my lunchtime:
tough life hey...

I was wondering how that easter traffic would be for you...glad to hear you made it safe 'home' (again).
And a back seat occupied by marvellous things. Of course you know I love 'monopolye' (how could i not? though i hate the game of similar name) and i do love that hoover. Not to use, mind you. Just to look at. Far less destructive that way. Remember when i vacuumed that neck-chain thing, i really thought i broke it (the hoover, that is. I definitely broke the chain. I think some other small objects may also have been involved in the incident, but cannot remember what they were). Oh the good old days....
Does look nice where you are, bit like bundanon without the noisy cows (unless they are hiding). Good luck with finding shit-kicking jobs.
ha ha!! thank goodness that ol' vacuum is as tough as old boots! it is a beautiful thing to look at, which is why i traipsed it all the way. i just couldn't bear to get rid of it.
not cows here, but lambs!! they're nowhere near as noisy, thank goodness. i'm hoping that they're just pets/lawnmowers 'cos i don't wanna have to deal with slaughter noises.
nice pic...
but spaghetti and orange juice?
WEIRD!
i knew you would say something about that age!! lol!
it was a weird apricot, kiwifruit nectar drink, so it wasn't as harsh as you think... and still a bit weird, i agree. but seeing as i don't drink vino, well, juice has to suffice!
